from Lisa Lisa's Monotype "Blazing Blooms" received the Ruth and Robert Newman Award at the Greenwich Art Society's Juried Open Exhibition called "Hot! Hot! Hot!," June 22-July 17, 2007. Another Monotype, "Pink Torso"was also juried into the show. July 2-31, 2007 Lisa will hold a one person multi-media exhibition at Sterling Glen of Darien. She will also be exhibiting one digital photograph "Dust to Dust 2" at the Westport Arts Center from July 20-August 12 in a group members' show. Lisa won Second Prize at the Old Greenwich Art Society winter show, February, 2007 for a color photograph called "Memoirs." She had work accepted in three new exhibitions: New Canaan Society for the Arts Open Juried Photo show with a computer enhanced photograph, "Spider Mums." : Monotype Guild of New England Juried Show at the Striar JCC Perkins Gallery of Art , Stoughton, MA, March 2007 for a Silk Screen Monotype "Summer Melodies." Also the Rowayton Arts Center Still Life Juried Show for two computer enhanced photographs..."Three" and "Shadows, " February 2007. She took part in a collaboration with the Darien Historical Society and the Darien Nature Center photographing the Old Stone Walls and Pillars of Darien. The show opened February 4 and will run until April 1, 2007 at he Darien Nature Center Gallery. It is entitled "Stories in Stone.". She will hold a one person show at the Round Hill Community Church for the month of March 2007. She held a one person show at the Rockwell/Norwalk Gallery December 4--January 10, 2007 exhibiting 57 pieces in a Multi-Media Exhibition which included hand made pottery. Lisa was one of fifteen artists in an Invitational Exhibition called "Abstraction" at the Carriage Barn, New Canaan, CT...October 22--December 12, 2006 and in September 2006 Lisa received First Prize in Graphics at the 56th Annual Sidewalk Show in Old Greenwich for a Silk Screen Monotype called "Soaring 2." In June 2006 Lisa received an Honorable
Mention for her Silk Screen Monotype at the Art Society of Old Greenwich
Purchase Awards show. In July she received an unprecedented Best in
Show/First Prize for a color photograph "Amphitheater,
Getty Villa" and
Second Prize for a color photo "Geoffrey's Malibu" at the
Stamford Art Association Exhibition "Far and Away Places." Lisa won Third Prize for a digital image incorporating poetry ("feel soul of land quiet quiet still still i breathe in calming hush of dusk") at The Art Society of Old Greenwich Spring Exhibition, April, 2006. Lisa joined an Online Poets' Workshop in late December '04 and continues to write poetry. She took part in a poetry reading sponsored by the Fairfield Arts Council in February 2007. She's won five awards and has poems published in over thirty anthologies by Wakemore Press as well as Online using the name Elizabeth H. Black at www.poetry.com. Three of her poems are also read on poetry CD's. She has received several medals for her climb up the steps of the poets.com web site. On that site, she is National Poet Laureate and National Judge Advocate. Lisa is a member of the International Society of Poets. She has been named Ambassador for Poetry 2006 by Poetry.com and is also a new member of allpoetry.com.
